TL8 Lion 114mm MRL and 203mm MRL

The eighth in the Cat series, the Lion is amphibious and air-transportable, capable of high off-road speed and with a fair amount of defensive systems. It is intended to provide light/medium artillery support to mechanized and motorized units. There are two basic models -- the Lion 114mm LARS (Light Artillery Rocket System) and Lion 203mm MARS (Medium Artillery Rocket System). The MARS is covered below.

The LARS mounts twelve 114mm autoloading launchers, each with a six rocket magazine. Most users load HE unguided rockets, but other warheads (and guided missiles) are frequently used. The magazine load listed in the description is just one possible load-out. See New Weapons for various rocket and missile types.

The stats below represent the 'standard' Lion, but most users customize the AFV to some degree.

Lion 203mm MARS

The MARS mounts four 203mm autoloading launchers, each with a three rocket magazine. Unlike the LARS, a small number of spare missiles are normally carried. Most users load HE unguided rockets, but other warheads (and guided missiles) are frequently used. The magazine load listed in the description is just one possible load-out. See New Weapons for various rocket and missile types.
