Kuogane Type 1 "Shanrisha" 3x2 motor-tricycle

This was essentially a military version of commercial trikes used in the 1930's. It combined the front of a motorcycle with an open-topped bin atop a two-wheeled axle. The bin had a tailgate at the rear for easier loading and unloading.

The Type I had a crew of one and used 0.7 gallons of fuel per hour at routine usage.

Subassemblies: Motorcycle chassis +0, Small Weapon superstructure +0, three wheels -1.
Powertrain: 16-kW gas engine with 16-kW wheeled transmission and 3-gallon standard fuel tank; 400-kWs batteries
Occupancy: 1 MCS Body.  Cargo: 2 Superstructure (open, 400 lbs).

Design Notes

Design speed was 83 mph. Superstructure weight (and cost and HP) were divided by two. Design weight was reduced 7%.

Variants
The Type 1 was built with serveral engine sizes; the stats above represents one of the more powerful models.

Some had seats for two men behind the driver, in place of the cargo bin.
