RSU-76 tank destroyer and RSU-107 assault gun walkers

It was realized that conventional tracked support guns could not adequately keep up with legged scouts. A larger design was started, usable as either a tank destroyer or an assault gun, depending on the armament fitted. The primary version fits the 76.2mm L-11, the same as the T-34.

On paper, there is supposed to be one RSU-76 and one RSU-107 in each walker scout company HQ, but many companies have only one vehicle (usually the RSU-76). They are intended to provide heavier fire support to RT-2 or RT-3 units. Some thought was given to organizing RSU-76's into tank destroyer companies, but existing tracked vehicles were considered sufficient for this role.

(Nothing in this design is exclusively Russian; it could be used by most nations without any chnage to stats)

The RSU-76 uses 3.4 gallons of gasoline per hour at routine usage.

Subassemblies: Very Heavy Walker chassis +3, 4¥Medium Walker legs +1, full-rotation Mini Weapon open mount +0.

Design Notes
All the mecha rules from W:WW were used, except for the “cheap” transmission cost from the core book (see Variants for an “expensive” transmission). An exception is gAccel, which uses the “kick start” rule from VE2. The design gAccel, which was used for gSpeed determination was 2 (for mecha with a top speed under 30mph, the “kick start” acceleration is: 4 x top speed / speed factor (p.W146)).

Chassis cost, weight and HP were doubled to improve robustness.

Variants
The RSU-107 assault gun is based on the RSU-76, but crams in a 106mm howitzer (105mm Very Short Howitzer) with 30 rounds in place of the 75mm Medium TG, The coaxial LMG is removed and the loader position loses one VSP of space. payload is 1.17 tons and loaded weight is 12.5 tons. Speed is 29 mph.
