The Otter is a light river patrol boat used for customs and internal
security duties. While fairly well armed for it's size, it is very lightly
armored; most crewmen will wear some form of armor (usually specially made
light or medium monocrys suits, with
built-in inflatable water-wings). The bridge is open on top, though
a canvas tarp on a frame is provided for shade. A fairly generous cargo
hold (between the bridge and the two open mounts) is used to carry seized
cargo, prisoners, camping equipment for extended patrols or, sometimes,
customs officers or counter-insurgency troops on a raid. The MG/autoshotgun
mount is at the far stern of the boat, the AGL slightly forward of the
stern (this is not aproblem, since the AGL can simply lob shells
over the rear gun if required).
The only known variant rearranges things (the bridge is at the rear, the open mounts right in front of it, then the cargo hold and finally the turret at the bow). The stats are the same.

Design Notes
Frame is expensive medium for 200 cf body, 15 cf turret, one 3 cf open
