This is a raw five-man crew of an M-4 Sherman tank
(p.W102) after D-Day. With minor
alterations they can be changed to other countries (and possibly to
some third world countries since WWII).
The Armored Crewman template (p.W73) doesn't mention the position
many armies listed as "co-driver" or "bow gunner". This crewman fired
the bow
machinegun and often operated the radio. He would also fill in for the
driver as required. Some light tanks lacked this
position, while other tanks had only a two-man turret (with the
commander either acting as loader or serving as loader).
The Panzer IV (p.W103) and Tiger (p.W104) could use this crew with
only modifications for
nationality. The T-34 (p.W105) would be a bit more of a problem, as the
commander doubled as gunner (it is suggested that the gunner character
is dropped and the commander used for both roles, without any increase
in skill levels).
Small arms on the Sherman include two M-3 "grease guns" with six
magazines
and 12 hand grenades. A M-2 tripod was also provided to allow the crew
to dismount the coaxial .30-cal Browning MG. Some individual crewmen
might also carry a pistol, normally a Colt M-1911A1.
