Back to Characters

Originally, these were going to be 0-point characters. For those who would rather not have "super" kobolds, most of these characters can be reduced to 0 points but cutting a couple advantages. As usual for non-humans, any cost marked with a '*' means the cost is partly or completely included in the racial template cost.

(And yes, if I had GURPS Goblins, these would have been goblins ;)

Jane the Kobold Rat Catcher
Setting: Fantasy (Yrth)

ST: 8 [0*]; DX: 11 [0*]; IQ: 8 [0*]; HT: 10 [0]

Advantages: Absolute Direction [5]; Cast Iron Stomach [*]; Immunity to Disease [10]; Night Vision [10]; Serendipity [15]

Disadvantages: Bad Smell [-10]; Kobold [-30]; Poverty [-10]; Short Attention Span [*]; Uneducated [*]; Weak Will -1 [*]

Quirks: Loves practical jokes; Easily offended

Skills: Animal Handling (Rats)-12/6 [2]; Area Knowledge (Sewers)-11 [6]; Climbing-11 [2]; Fast-Talk-8 [2]; First Aid-10 [4]; Knife-12 [2]; Scrounging-9 [2]; Spear-11 [2]; Stealth-11 [2]; Survival (Urban)-12 [10]

Languages: Kobold-8 [0]; Anglish-7 [1]

Gear: Flour sack as tunic, spear (1d imp), large knife (1d-4 cut, 1d-3 imp), sack with 1d6 dead rats

Notes: This NPC is, essentially, an urban hunter, specializing in rodents (which he may or may not supply to the kobold cook, below). For PCs, she would have the greatest value as a (rather unreliable) sewer guide.

Joe the Kobold Messenger
Setting: Fantasy (Yrth)

ST: 8 [0*]; DX: 11 [0*]; IQ: 8 [0*]; HT: 11 [10]

Advantages: Alertness +2 [10]; Cast Iron Stomach [*]; Semi-Literacy [5]; Strong Will +1 [4]

Disadvantages: Kobold [-22**]; Short Attention Span [*]; Uneducated [*]

** Weak Will -1 has been bought off

Quirks: Loves practical jokes; Easily offended

Skills: Acrobatics-10 [2]; Area Knowledge (Lower-class part of city)-10 [4]; Heraldry-7 [1]; Knife-11 [1]; Running-12 [8]

Languages: Kobold-8 [0]; Anglish-8 [2]

Gear: Greasy rags made into clothes, small knife (1d-5 cut, 1d-4 imp)

Notes: This NPC is a minor messenger of a minor gang or organized crime outfit. Because of the inherent limitations of a kobold messenger, he is not given terribly important messages to relay. His Acrobatics skill represents his ability to twist and turn through crowds.

Joe the Kobold Cook
Setting: Fantasy (Yrth)

ST: 8 [0*]; DX: 11 [0*]; IQ: 9 [10*]; HT: 11 [10]

Advantages: Acute Taste/Smell +5 [10]; Alcohol Tolerance [5]; Cast Iron Stomach [*]; Very Fit [15]

Disadvantages: Kobold [-30]; Poverty [-10]; Short Attention Span [*]; Uneducated [*]; Weak Will -1 [*]

Quirks: Loves practical jokes; Easily offended

Skills: Brawling-12 [2]; Cooking-12 [6]; First Aid-10 [2]; Savoir-Faire-10 [2]; Streetwise-9 [2]

Languages: Kobold-9 [0]; Anglish-8 [1]

Gear: Ragged clothes, apron, fist (1d-4 cr)

Notes: This NPC represents the cook at a lower-class dining establishment. He often gets into fights with patrons who don't appreciate his cooking (however, as a dead customer can't come back, he has Brawling rather than an armed weapon skill).
