Notes: This NPC is a middle-aged lady who operates a small roadside inn. Normally, she poisons her victims at dinner. If this fails, she has her son (see Joe the Brute) kill them before dawn.

Joe the Brute
Setting: 17th to early 20th centuries

Notes: This NPC is the overly obedient son of Jane the Poisoner. He has been so dominated by her that he has almost will of his own left and serves her dutifully. He kills anyone his mother fails to poison, preferably by breaking their neck after beating them into submission, so as not to damage the skin too much.
